The Commission is responsible for the supervision and regulation of all boxing, sparring, wrestling, kickboxing, and martial arts contest held in Kansas. Duties include the issuing of licenses to referees, judges, physicians, timekeepers, promoters, and matchmakers and the recommendation of taxing and fee structures for all regulated contests. The Commission fulfills these tasks in accordance with its mission of promoting events that are enjoyable and safe for spectators and participants.
