Former Unicorns members Nick Diamonds and J'aime Tambeur are the core of Islands, a more accessible extension of the Canadian duo's cultish indie catalog (which also includes Th' Corn Gangg). Reknowed for their cheap keyboards, skewed lyrics and puppet shows, the creative combo is making a splash with a new full-length titled "Return to the Sea," which matches the whimsy of the Elephant 6 catalog with forays into psychedelia and hip-hop. Opener Busdriver is an LA-based experimental hip-hop emcee who records for the Mush label. He'll be preceded by fellow Mush artists - and Lawrence homies - iD and Sleeper.
