To be held in the City Commission Room, City Hall.From the City Commission: Lawrence has been selected for assistance from the Sustainable Design Assessment Team (SDAT) program of the American Institute of Architects (AIA). Two AIA members were here for a scoping visit earlier this year, and the full team, composed of professionals from a number of different fields, will be in Lawrence from Wednesday, Nov. 1 through Friday, Nov. 3. The SDAT team will gather information and provide feedback on ways to make our city more econonically, socially, and environmentally sustainable. I also hope that this will be a first step in a community visioning process that will bring Lawrence residents together to develop a shared set of goals and values to provide guidance to our elected officials. Citizen participation is crucial to making this project successful. I encourage you to attend any or all of the meetings and listening sessions listed below as your schedule allows. Thank you for all the things you do to make Lawrence a better place to live, and I look forward to seeing you over the next several days.
