Description: The KU School of Fine Arts and the Departments of Art and Design will host the Annual Art & Design Holiday Sale featuring the sale of more than 100 students' works on November 29th and 30th.
There will be an opening reception for the sale taking place from 6:30
p.m. to 8:30 p.m. on Wednesday, November 29th. From 7:00 a.m. to 7:00
p.m. on Thursday, November 30th, the sale will continue in the Art &
Design Gallery in the Art & Design Building at the Lawrence campus.
Assorted works from students in the Design and Art departments will be
on sale, including ceramics, prints, sculptures, paintings, textiles,
and metal works.
A portion of the money raised by the sale of ceramics goes to the
Ceramic Student Award. This award is for one student each year to
further his or her knowledge of ceramics outside of the University. The
remaining funds generated from the sale are used for projects determined
by students, such as bringing a visiting artist to campus or purchasing
a piece of equipment for a studio.
