Red Balloon To Do

Downtown Lawrence

Lawrence's largest annual art salon and performance extravaganza takes place on Saturday October 21st from 5pm-10pm. Just like the very first Red Balloon To Do in September 2003, this year's show was built from scratch by local artists and young volunteers. Carrying a red balloon to each of the downtown venues will give any art-wise Lawrencian access to a multitude of different cultural events, each happening simultaneously with its own flavor of expression, music and atmosphere. Colorful maps (available at the Olive Gallery) will guide Red Ballooners through the maze of artists, musicians, filmmakers and supporters involved. The evening closes with a concert at The Jackpot Saloon (free w/ red balloon) featuring White Whale, Ad Astra Per Aspera, Boo and Boo Too and The Boy Dandy.
