The Wailers

The Wailers were the backing band for Bob Marley from 1974 until his death in 1981. Though the band has spent much of the last decade embroiled in legal tussles regarding copyright of Marley tunes, it recently retured to the stage, touring alongside modern acts like 311. Group leader Aston Francis "Family Man" Barrett played bass alonside Marley and Lee Perry's Upsetters and supposedly got the nickname thanks to his fathering 52 children by various women.
