Multisensory Aesthetic Experience - MAE for short - charmed the Jimmy Eat World nation with its 2005 release "The Afterglow." The 130,000-selling Tooth and Nail release offered roaring, poppy modern rock that avoided the cliches of the emo set and fit comfortably into the smallest or largest arenas. Supporting local heroes The New Amsterdams released their sublime new album "Story Like A Scar" in March, debuting a new supporting cast for Matt Pryor and a lush sound bouyed by the can't-miss guitar licks of Dustin Kinsey and pedal-steel man Casey Prestwood. Kansas City rockers Vedera (formerly Veda) open the show with their glossy, female-forward brand of emo rock.
