The Melvins

with Big Business

It's been more than a decade since The Melvins' slow-core sludge rock found a mass audience thanks to the support of friend and neighbor Kurt Cobain. In many ways, the band is known more for the Seattle bands it influenced - Nirvana, Alice in Chains, Mudhoney - than its own 20-album catalog, but constant touring and reinvention has kept a core audience intact. Fuzzy-haired ringmaster King Buzzo (Buzz Osbourne) has split his time with Fantomas (featuring Faith No More's Mike Patton) in recent years, but The Melvins are out on the road again in support of the band's new record "A Senile Animal." Two drummers round out the band's new lineup, amplifying the assault of one of rock music's gnarliest lineups.
