The 12-member Antibalas orchestra initially used Afrobeat as the blueprint for its infectious dancefloor takeovers, but the Brooklyn outfit is also righteously revered in funk and jam circles. The politically charged unit hired Tortoise's John McEntire to produce its latest LP "Security" (ANTI- Records), expanding its sonic pallet without losing any of the polyrhythmic funkiness that endeared the group to fans of the Ropeadope and Ninja Tune imprints. Cuban hip-hop act Krudas Cubensi -- featuring three Spanish-speaking female emcees -- warms up what's sure to become a sweaty crowd. Doors at 8pm. Show at 9pm.
