Everything playing was made by people from Lawrence, most of it shot in Lawrence. Much of what's playing is genre-oriented and is inspired by exploitation film, including content featuring: juvenile delinquents, beach parties, westerns, educational/scare films, horror/gore, ghosts, aliens, gangs, drugs, dancing, psychedelia, roadkill, and fashion addiction, as well as hand-scratching, old-fashioned optical effects, and experimental film influence being present.

Nife Fite is the name of a group of Lawrence-based movie-makin' kids, including Julia Zinn and Lauren Kimball-Brown, along with William Mockry, Lisa Floor, Kevin Corcoran, Holly Santee, Chris Brewer, Lena Marvin, and countless others.

The "yet-to-be-titled" silent suepr 8 film now has a title: "DEAD END ON LOVE STREET!" See if you can spot an uncredited walk-on cameo by a certain member of the Lawrence.com staff, circa 1996-- The first one to point him/her out gets a free high-five form yours truly.
