Slick Rhodes Holiday Jamboree
Rescheduled make-up date
When: Tuesday, Dec. 18, 2007, 10 p.m.
Where: The Eighth Street Tap Room, 801 N.H., Lawrence
Cost: $2
Age limit: 21+
Categories: Phil Cauthon Best Bet, Music | Holiday
Description: Yuletide merrymaker Slick Rhodes visits the Taproom about this time every year, looking suspiciously like one Arthur Dodge. His meandering holiday tunes are good for the spirits, a crucial respite from Mannheim Steamroller and overly jolly renditions of "Grandma Got Run Over By A Reindeer." Slick prefers the "Winter Wonderland" angle, with a few of his own Golden Greats, and of course your requests.
