Film Screening: "Greensburg, A Community of Hope Rebuilds"

Solidarity! Revolutionary Center & Radical Library

Fresh off a project documenting the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina, Lawrence filmmakers Eric Hyde and Oliver Hall gathered a crew to document the disaster relief efforts in Greensburg following the town-leveling tornado that struck on May 4. With interviews from residents, government officials, and relief workers, the film portrays a sobering reality of the limitations of Federal disaster relief efforts. Hyde, Hall, and crew will be on hand to answer questions and guide a discussion.
