Pete Yorn

with Aqualung

When Pete Yorn released his debut "Musicforthemorningafter" in 2001, there was a sense that this guy got lucky. His songs were good, and his musicianship credible, but perhaps it was all the teen soap-opera placement that made the whole thing a bit suspect. Five years later, those doubts are burning up quicker than Jim Gaffigan's bald head on on a beach. "Nightcrawler" is far and away Yorn's best effort to date, a confident collection of tunes emboldened with Butch Walker's production, Dave Grohl's drums and Natalie Maines' vocals. It's a can't-miss record for established groupies and perhaps a new introduction for those that missed the boat the first two times.
