Description: Featured artist this month is Kendra Herring.
Follow the trajectory of Herring’s artistic career as she shares a chronology of her work, from her undergraduate days as a painting major to her post-MFA found-object sculpture and mixed media pieces. She will also present her newest body of work, which will be featured in an exhibition at Simpson College in Iowa this winter.
SEED is a new monthly lecture series at 4-1-1 Artspace. A gathering place for everyone interested in local, contemporary art, SEED is free and open to the public. Short, 30- to 40-minute lectures are followed with Q&A and time to meet other people interested in the Lawrence art scene.
