Lonnie Fisher / Jeremy Cain

Gaslight Gardens

Two Lawrence vets fly solo on the initimate (aka tiny) Gaslight stage. Lonnie Fisher used to be in a band called Sturgeon Mill but has since pursed his solo muse, recording piecemeal at Black Lodge Studios and collaborating with a pool of friends. Probably the only local singer/songwriter to name The Church and Barry White as primary influences, Fisher has a bit of Roy Orbison in his vocals and a whole lotta love for '80s bands like Echo and the Bunnymen. Jeremy Cain is a regular at the Jazzhaus open mics and a fixture behind the counter at hobbs. In addition to pop covers of "Ice Ice Baby" and the mellower side of Radiohead, Cain writes his own tunes and sings like a dove.

LJWorld / Lawrence.com... just make sure to credit the photographers that took the promo shots for the bands you feature. That would be me. Thanks!
