Celebrate your country with the annual fireworks display - shock and awe on the Kaw River. Grab a blanket, some mosquito spray and your patriot cap and head on down to Burcham Park (the bridge also offers a good sight angle). Fireworks start around 9:30 p.m. Live music starts in the park at 6 p.m. The Lawrence Bus Co. is providing free bus rides from all of the downtown parking lots to the park starting at 5:45 p.m.
