Description: It's been about three years since Stephen Wolfe disbanded Getaway Driver and set to work re-imagining his songwriting voice. Whereas Wolfe's former band offered emo-tinged power pop, his new band Cavaliers is more of a singer/songwriter Americana project. Intact are Wolfe's talents for penning buoyant melodies, self-effacing lyrics and full-bodied arrangements—currently performed with the all-star talents of Ryan Pope (The Get Up Kids), Ricky Salthouse (The Only Children) and Nate Harold (Waking Ashland). The group celebrates the release of its debut LP "Except for the Birds" tonight with support from Lawrence's The Roseline.
