Description: The Journal of Law and Public Policy at the University of Kansas School of Law is pleased to present a forum on Genetically Modified Organisms on March 15, 2007 at the Burge Union on KU’s Lawrence campus.
The 2007 Symposium features six internationally recognized leaders in the fields of law, agriculture and chemical sciences presenting papers on the science, law and philosophy of GMOs, with policy recommendations for future GMO regulation.
Among the topics to be discussed are: The populations who stand to benefit from genetically modified crops; the environmental impact and sustainability of GMOs; the regulation of GMOs in the European Union and United States; and the role of intellectual property in GMO regulation
