Ghosty as Big Star

Description: It's no secret that Lawrence's Ghosty are fans of Big Star (what with every review comparing them to Alex Chilton and company). But the boys took their adulation a step further by learning 16 songs from the band's revered catalog. Fans unfamiliar with the short-lived '70s icons can hear their legacy in modern admirers like Teenage Fanclub and The Posies (the latter of which backed the 2005 reincarnation of Big Star). This show may be the first of many Ghosty Tributes, having locked down a semi-regular gig at The Record Bar to do just that.
