Animal Collective / Sir Richard Bishop

The other-worldly records of Animal Collective are informed by exotic textures, psychedelic folk, tribal drumming, ambient drones, home recording aesthetics and copious amounts of experimentation. Recently signed to Domino Records, the group has spent much of the last two years touring the world and developing its cathartic live show. The group's recent "People" EP aims to tide over fans awaiting the follow up to 2005's "Feels", a jubilant though often patience-testing record that signaled a foray into halfway conventional rock sounds and structures.
