The Evens

Love Garden

The Evens' biggest draw is no doubt Ian MacKaye-the former Fugazi and Minor Threat frontman, a punk rock legend who has carved out his own path by sidestepping industry norms and keeping his sights trained on ideals and activism. This two-piece band features MacKaye on baritone guitar and vocals and Amy Farina on drums/percussion and vocals, playing stripped-down tunes that are mellower than any of MacKaye's former projects. The duo released its second album "Get Evens" in 2006 and has since embarked on numerous tours of alternative venues such as galleries, bakeries and record stores. Love Garden will close like a normal business day at 7 p.m. and re-open at 8 p.m. with The Evens playing promptly at 8:30 p.m. A $5 donation will be asked for at the door, and tickets will be available at Love Garden on or before November 1st.
