Description: Lawrence native Nick Vaccaro's newest series of photographs documents the art and lifestyle of Wayne Propst, a local icon of guerrilla and irreverent artworks. Propst, an old crony of William S. Burroughs, is depicted through these photographs with the objects he transforms from old trash into social observations and humorous quips. Known as an artist without boundaries whose medium is the world, Propst's installations frequently spring up at the Pig. Vaccaro has spent most of his career in New York City shooting for fashion magazines and commercial projects, but he currently splits his time between Lawrence and rural Washington state.
