Description: Cory Fischer-Hoffman will share about grassroots community organizing, popular participation, anti-poverty social programs and politics in Venezuela. After living and working in Venezuela in 2006-2007, she's just returned from a follow up visit and MA thesis research. Cory will share her experiences, paying specific attention to women's work within the Bolivarian Revolution. There will be plenty of time for questions, as well as conversations about how to make connections to Lawrence. There will be food provided, feel free to bring a dish or snacks to share.
