The alternative rock trio Outhouse formed in Kansas City in 1994. Comprised of vocalist/guitarist Bill Latas, bassist Brad Gaddy and drummer Shawn Poores, the group toured relentlessly, selling copies of their self-produced demo at performances Ultimately, the demo, along with appearances on a pair of local compilations, won Outhouse a contract with Mercury, which issued the group's debut "Welcome" in 1997.
