Listen to our podcast preview of the Roseline's new album. The Roseline has long been treating Lawrence to its style of rootsy, subtle Americana. Influenced by wide-ranging artists such as Whiskeytown, Elvis Costello, and Gram Parsons. The band's second release, "Lust for Luster" sees an increased role for keyboardist/percussionist Ehren Starks, who split writing duties with principal songwriter Colin Halliburton for the new tunes. Joining in for the Roseline's CD Release show is Fourth of July, featuring lead songwriter Brendan Hangauer's witty late-night lyricisms and the sharp musicianship of his six-piece band featuring harmony vocals from Adrianne Verhoeven (formerly of The Anniversary). Also performing is Arthur Dodge, who is sure to deliver a cathartic set of whiskey-soaked ballads and Springsteen-inspired rock, delivered with gutsy chops and booze-soaked harmonies. Starting the evening off is Suzannah Johannes. The Lawrence songwriter's mellow tunes employ fingerpick guitar, piano, percussion and brush drums to convey lovely melodies that could sit comfortably beside a campfire.
