Description: Lawrence Community Theatre will hold auditions on Feb. 25 and 26 at 7PM for "Sherlock Holmes: The Final Adventure." The play is written by Steven Dietz and based on the 1899 story by William Gillete and Arthur Conan Doyle.
The world's most masterful detective investigates a mystery involving a kidnapped damsel, a stack of scandalous letters and the menacing denizens of London's seamy underworld. Intellect and passion collide in a web of deception, where even the most insignificant clue can unlock the deepest secrets of mind and heart.
Roles are available for 6 men and 2 women including Holmes, Dr. Watson, the King of Bohemia, Professor Moriarty, the opera singer Irene Adler, and villains James and Madge Larrabee and Sid Prince.
The show will be under the direction of Charles Whitman, assisted by Jeff Blair. Production dates will be April 11 through April 27. Scripts may be checked out from the theatre office at 1501 New Hampshire St.
