Description: Hidden Pictures is a new band featuring Richard Gintowt and Michelle Sanders from OK Jones. Initially formed as an acoustic duo, the group has recently expanded to include drummer Pat Tomek and bassist Tim Brandsted. This show will celebrate the release of the debut Hidden Pictures album.

Big Surrender is a new Lawrence band featuring singer Adam Murphy and former Waking Ashland collaborators Ryan Lallier and Nate Harold. The group cooked up an expansive collection of songs at Black Lodge Studios during the past year and will perform its first local show this evening before Harold hits the road with The Honorary Title. Purveying a poppy sound reminiscent of big-hook bands like Phantom Planet, the group looks to tour later this year and finalize plans for its debut record.

Sal Retta is a singer/songwriter from Kansas City whose one-of-a-kind voice highlights songs fashioned in a manner that loosely resembles Jolie Holland or Andrew Bird. Retta typically performs solo, accompanying herself with intricate fingerpicking arrangements on hollow-body electric guitars.

Katlyn Conroy is no longer playing this show.
