Description: Austin's White Ghost Shivers revels in string band music from the '20s and '30s, mixing early jazz, hokum, vaudeville, ragtime, gypsy swing and hillbilly music in equal measure. Looking the part as well as they play it, the band ups the ante with bawdy lyrics and period flapper dress. They've shared the stage with local faves Split Lip Rayfield many a time, presumably because both acts scare the bejeezus out of anyone who listens to contemporary country radio.
