Categories: Pop, Rock, Singer/songwriter
Description: Antennas Up features former members of Distance to Empty that sought a fresh start with the addition of vocalist Lonnie Coleman. Purveying a funkier, more soul-influenced sound than the pop rock of DTE, the group is setting its sights on a fall release of its debut album.
Chicago's Company of Thieves is a polished new band that's been making waves with a poppy rock sound reminiscent of Eisley and/or Denali. Having sold-out hometown venues such as Schubas and Beat Kitchen, the independent group is hitting the road to hype up its debut album "Ordinary Riches."
Lawrence songwriter Katlyn Conroy is taking a breather from her band Another Holiday to release a solo album. Taking cues from personal faves like Kimya Dawson, Jenny Lewis and Death Cab for Cutie, Conroy sings sweet, hummable melodies with hushed dynamics and twinkling keyboards.
