Description: This Grammy winning band will perform a free outdoor concert on the patio of the Lawrence Public Library. Back in '79, te Denton, Texas, outfit was pegged as a new wave polka band—a courageous endeavor during that era's particular zeitgeist. The band is also by turns a world music act, a hot jazz quintet, a rollicking rock'n'roll bar band, a Tex-Mex grupo conjunto, a sizzling blues band, a saucy cocktail combo, a deadly serious novelty act and a Latin orchestra. Whatever they're playing, they keep people dancing.
