Description: Every summer since 1949, both highly acclaimed and accomplished musicians and musicians who show great promise have convened in Aspen, Colorado to perform, teach and learn from one another. The Aspen Ensemble is the first group formed from resident artists to take the Aspen name. All highly regarded solo artists, the Aspen Ensemble includes violinist David Perry, violist Victoria Chiang, cellist Michael Mermagen, flutist Nadine Asin, and pianist Rita Sloan. Highly regarded as individual and group musicians, The Aspen Ensemble performs with "liquid virtuosity" and leaves audiences spellbound.
