Daniel W. Coburn and Louis Copt will showcase recent works in an upcoming show at Pachamamas. Both artists have garnered regional and national acclaim for their works documenting the Kansas landscape.The show will open on Tuesday, March 11th with a public reception for the artists between 6 and 9pm. Daniel Coburn will celebrate the release of his latest book "Between Earth and Sky." This 52 page publication features an introduction by Kansas arts advocate Don Lambert and over 40 of Coburn's landscape images which capture manmade events existing in visual harmony with the earth. The book will be offered for sale at the reception and the artist will be available for signing. This latest release from DaWayCo publishing will retail for $14.00.Louis Copt will release his 12-minute art/documentary film entitled "The Prairie on Fire." The short film depicts the cycle of the renewing fires through imagery and music. Copt spent over two years capturing scenes of the Flint Hills in various seasons with the emphasis on the annual spring burn-off. Musician Kelley Hunt was tapped to provide the music for Copt's film.
