Description: Jeremy McComb was eight years old when his musician father pulled him on stage for the first time and had him sing along to the Willie Nelson classic “On The Road Again.” Growing up on the Washington/Idaho border, McComb became interested in songwriters such as Jim Croce and Kris Kristofferson. By the time he was seventeen, the fledgling artist was touring with regional groups, eventually fronting the honky-tonk act Trace Country. Then came a detour. The performer met comedian Larry the Cable Guy, and at the age of 23 became his tour manager. Fortunately, McComb’s music continued to turn heads during this journeying period, leading to a deal with Parallel Records and the upcoming release of his debut, “My Side of Town.” McComb joins The Championship at 9 p.m. today at The Bottleneck, 737 N.H.
