The Replay is not only hosting its traditional day-long music fest celebrating Irish heritage (or, let's face it, beer)-it's also bringing The Slits to Lawrence. The Slits, dude. Pretty much the most famous girl punk band ever, who paved the way for riot grrrls back in their '70s heydey. Listen to our podcast interview with The Slits' Ari Up. The day isn't limited to just these badass ladies, however. Two Thin Lizzy tributes, the tough blues rock of Ames' Radio Moscow, and a host of quality local acts will be playing throughout the day as BBQ and traditional Irish Food is served up. No word yet on whether the Replay will dare combine the savory delights of PBR and green food coloring.Schedule:Noon - The Gnomes1:00 p.m. - JR & the Juniors2:00 p.m. - Sick Bird3:00 p.m. - Big Cat KS4:00 p.m. - SUNU5:00 p.m. - The Calamity Cubes 6:00 p.m. - RedLefty7:00 p.m. - Redrocket8:00 p.m. - Shellshag9:00 p.m. - The Slits10:30 p.m. - The Rocker (A Thin Lizzy Tribute with Kory Willis, Paul Schmidt, and friends) 11:30 p.m. - Radio MoscowMidnight - The Old Black (performing more Thin Lizzy songs)
