Les Fossoyeurs / Joey Skidmore Band / Les Marteaux Pikettes

Record Bar

Les Fossoyeurs are a seven-piece horn band from Paris, France playing an eclectic mix of ska, punk rock, funk, reggae, garage, and traditional French waltzes. The name Les Fossoyeurs translates as "The Gravediggers," and the band originally chose the name nineteen years ago--at their conception--to commemorate the death of rock 'n' roll. But rock 'n' roll refuses to die, so Les Fossoyeurs just keep on rocking year after year. The band started during the early '80s alternative wave, but two decades later they still maintain their high-energy, anger and angst, and political commitment--all delivered with a smile, and several pints of lager.
