Description: Building on its debut album "I Am Haunted, I Am Alive," Cheyenne used ongoing trials—relocation, lineup changes, freak weather—as fuel for its sophomore LP. The once revolving cast of musicians is now four; the tighter arrangements paying tribute to the unit's spirit of collaboration. "The Whale" chronicles the former Oklahoma band's journey from the Midwest to New York City; from a one-man solo project to a true-blue working band; from gentle folk desperation to rock and roll deliverance.
