Description: The Appleseed Cast's first Lawrence show in more than six months should feature a bevy of new material from its in-the-works sequel to 2006's "Peregrine." With new drummer Aaron Coker in the trenches and a revived interest in experimentation, the group is seeking to build on its expansive guitar-rock soundscapes and bar-rattling drum beats.
The Dactyls play their own brand of noisy, guitar-driven, punk-infused indie rock, taking cues from everyone they've ever heard (and liked). The band has been kicking around for about five years amidst multiple name changes (The Legendary Terrordactyls, Terrordactyls) and blatant puss-outs. The current line-up includes John Bergwell on bass and vocals, Nick Bergwell on guitar and vocals, Brendan Costello on guitar and vocals and Jon Momberg on drums. The Dactyls are currently recording in preparation for a 2008 release and a 7" due out on Blanket Records May 9th.
Coat Party is a punk, female-fronted dance party. Armed with merely two mics, bass and drums, the quartet kicks out sugar-high jams a la Erase Errata and Mika Miko.
