From the gallery: Aaron Storck returns to the DotDotDot Artspace with an experimental new show for the week of Nov 1-8. Just 5 months after his inaugural solo show "Gleam and Glisten/ Night Theme" in the then new art space, his new effort, "Wizard Ningxt" will consist of an ambitious installation, performance videos, and new 2-D and 3-D works. The opening reception on Saturday November 1st is from 6-9 pm and will be followed by an artist talk Tuesday evening the 4th at 8 pm. The talk is open to the public and will immediately follow the weekly meeting of Fresh Produce Art Collective artists at the DotDotDot Artspace. On Wednesday the 5th Aaron Storck will host artist Maria Velasco and the University of Kansas Expanded Media art class for a talk and a question and answer session. Aaron Storck is a founding member of the Fresh Produce Art Collective as well as the DotDotDot Artspace in Lawrence, KS. Aaron is a native of New York City, and has shown his artwork extensively in Brooklyn, as well as in Manhattan, Berlin, Chicago, St. Louis, and Kansas City. Mr. Storck recently participated in the Fresh Produce Art Collective group show at the Spencer Museum of Art on KU's campus, and the piece that he included in that exhibit, a large, wild photo print of some of the members of the collective, was elected to be donated to the museum's collection by the artists of Fresh Produce. Aaron currently has a piece at the Museum of Natural History on KU's campus entitled "Live 1:1" as a part of the art show "Biodiversity Is:" curated by Thomas Hardy. In 2001 Aaron Storck Graduated from the University of Kansas, with a BFA in Printmaking. Aaron has since divided his time between Lawrence KS. and New York City.
