This Is My Condition + Dan Kozak

CD release for "Anatomy of Livers"

In the beginning, This Is My Condition was freaky to be sure. Originator Craig Comstock simultaneously banged on a drum set and a detuned guitar and screamed into a mic that looked like it was invented by Thomas Edison. But things got even freakier when free-jazz saxophonist Dan Kozak entered the picture and the duo hit the studio to record an improvised album called "This Mission." Now they've done it again, and the resulting "Anatomy of Livers" LP will be released tonight with support from NYC noisemakers Neg-Fi.From This Is My Condition: This Is My Condition and Dan Kozak release a new full-length CD: Anatomy of Livers. 33 minutes of pure now-ness and non-existence. Recorded by the excellent Joe Post at Daybreak Studio in Lawrence, KS as part of a session for a split 7" on Golgonooza Records with the rad G.I. Joe from Bologna, Italy. To celebrate TIMC+DKZK will play a live in-store at Love Garden Sounds on Monday Nov. 10th at 8pm sharp. Neg-Fi from Brooklyn NY will perform first as our special guest. On display for one night only at Love Garden will be 400+ collages made by Dan Kozak. You might think that we're "givin' it all up" by showing 400 collages, but let me tell you, this is just a drop in the bucket. Neg-Fi is rad no wave instrumental music with such nasty sound such as to reach the sublime. "In the '50s, a time of postwar optimism and faith in science, there was Hi-Fi. In the '90s, an era of slackers and diminished expectations, there was Lo-Fi. In the '00s, a time of neanderthal government and outright contempt for the arts, there is Neg-Fi. A watershed moment in the history of art and music--some might say sub-nadir..."
