The Lawrence Sustainable Business Tour this Saturday, October 11th will feature four businesses that incorporate energy conservation design and products. Tour participants will see alternative energy systems in action, and talk with business owners about actual cost savings and the experience of working in an energy efficient environment.The tour starts at 9:00 a.m. at Zarco Earth Friendly Fuels and then travels by bus to Bowersock Mills and Power Company, The Castle Tea Room, and finishes at The Community Mercantile. For the duration of the tour, parking is available at the south end of the Hillcrest Shopping Center on 9th and Iowa Street. Tour bus tickets are $8/adult and $2/child 14 and under.
