"Kevin Willmott's Top Ten Political Movies You Must See"

Lawrence filmmaker and KU film professor Kevin Willmott will share his "Top Ten Political Movies You Must See," where he will count down his list of 10 and provide insights on why they were selected.Willmott finished filming "Bunker Hill" in late 2007. The independent film stars the Emmy Award-winning actor James McDaniel (Lt. Arthur Fancy on the NBC-TV series "NYPD Blue") as well as Saeed Jaffrey, Laura Kirk, Kevin Geer, Blake Robbins, Scott Allegrucci and local singer/songwriter Kelley Hunt. His screenplays have been commissioned by Oliver Stone and 20th Century Fox. He co-wrote the NBC mini-series "The 70's" and wrote and produced the feature film "Ninth Street," starring Martin Sheen and Isaac Hayes. His most recent film "CSA: Confederate States Of America" earned the support of Spike Lee and premiered at the 2004 Sundance Film Festival. He also recently wrapped up a new feature film titled "The Only Good Indian," written by Thomas L. Carmody and starring Wes Studi.
