From the Percolator: Just wanted to let y'all know about two upcoming creative workshops being sponsored by The Percolator.
On Saturday, April 4, I will teach bookmaking from 3pm to 6pm. This is the sort of class where all students need to start at the same time, so please be prompt. I plan to get started no later than 3:15, and will not be able to start over for latecomers.
Scavenged/reused materials will be provided, but it would be helpful if students provided their own needle, large safety pin, and waxed dental floss. Students are also welcome to provide their own paper, card stock, heavier cardboard, and fabric. Young people in junior high and high school are welcome to attend, as are younger kids with parental supervision and assistance.
There is no set class fee for this workshop, but The Percolator humbly and gratefully accepts dollars slipped into our donation bucket.
On Saturday, April 11, Eric Farnsworth will teach folks to carve their own rubber stamps. This class will take place from 3pm to 6pm. I am not sure of Eric's stance on latecomers. Students should provide their own Exact-o knife if possible. If anyone has any questions about this workshop, please send them to me and I will direct them to Eric.
Again, there is no set class fee for this workshop, but the Percolator welcomes donations. (The Percolator is 100% volunteer run. No one gets paid for any of the events and classes held at The Percolator. Eric and I will not be paid for teaching these classes; we just want to share our skills with you!)
If you have any questions, please send them to me at firstname.lastname@example.org.
