Lawrence Community Theatre will hold auditions for the classic musical, CRAZY FOR YOU, with music by George and Ira Gershwin and book by Ken Ludwig, on April 13 and 14 at 7:00PM at the theatre, 1501 New Hampshire.
From the stages of New York to the wilds of Deadrock, a 1930s playboy pursues a life in song and dance. It's a high energy comedy with mistaken identity, plot twists, fabulous dance numbers, and classic Gershwin music including "Bidin' My Time," "I Got Rhythm," "They Can't Take That Away From Me," "Embraceable You," and "Someone to Watch Over Me."
Roles are available for a large cast of singers, dancers and actors.

LANK HAWKINS: Saloon owner in Deadrock, NV. Comic villain.
IRENE ROTH: New York society debutant engaged five years.
BELLA ZANGLER: New York producer of Follies show.
LOTTIE CHILD: Bobby's protective mother and owner of a bank.
EVERETT BAKER: Polly's widow father who owns small theatre.
TESSIE: Dance director and Zangler's favorite.
PATSY: Showgirl with high pitch voice.
EUGENE FODOR: British tourist writing about wild west.
PATRICIA FODOR: British tourist.
MOOSE/MINGO/SAM: cowboy singing trio.
Plus other cardplayers/showgirls/townsfolk.
Charles Goolsby will direct this delightful musical comedy, with Mary Baker as music director and Barb Wasson as choreographer. Scripts may be checked out from the LCT office with a deposit. Performances are scheduled to run June 5 through June 21.
