Lee's Summit, Mo., native Travis Tewes - a.k.a. Crazy T - is making a name for himself in both America and Japan thanks to study-abroad trips that turned into collaborations with hip-hop artists in Lawrence's sister city of Hiratsuka (and later Tokyo). His new album "Asagaeri" is the result of these forged connections: a worldly cocktail of hip-hop flavors in both tongues. Tonight he'll celebrate the disc's release with support from local up-and-comers Spence, Smoov Confusion, Def Ear, and DJ Godzilla.
