Street dancing, street vendors, patio drinking, and more... 8th Street in front of The Sandbar—between Massachusetts and New Hampshire streets—will be close beginning at 5 p.m. The show starts at 8 p.m.
Mark Valentine and the Number Ones will perform a live concert featuring the Sandbar's favorite jukebox and parade float songs. Dancing showgirls, mystery guests, and the KU Bar Band, which started at The Sandbar, will be featured.
It's a family friendly event. No alcohol will be allowed in the street, but an extended patio area with a special beer garden will be open just for the evening. Bottled water, soda, and food will be available for purchase.
