Seattle's The Dutchess and the Duke play early-vintage folk/rock with a poetic spirit that recalls the Velvet Underground, Bob Dylan, and The Rolling Stones. The group is currently embarking on a two-month tour on the heels of some glowing press from Pitchfork. WIth ingredients like male/female harmonies, quasi-blues guitar, and minimal percussion, the group should find a happy home wherever acts like the Mamas and the Papas are appreciated.
