"Dance, Laugh, Learn: A Concert for Kids of All Ages"

Fresh off their "Transformations" concert in January, the 940 Dance Company prepares to hit the LAC stage once again with their annual Youth Concert on Sunday, February 22nd at 2pm. This delightful performance will include: a favorite dance about letters and words, Word Dance, an updated Goldilocks and the Three Bears, choreographed by former 940 dancer Michael Ingle, poems by Shel Silverstein and Dr. Seuss set to movement by the dancers, and Prismatica, a dance with moving lights viewed through special glasses that will give audiences a different way to look at movement and dance. This concert offers an entertaining and educational afternoon that showcases the amazing skills and technique of this professional modern dance company. The Youth Concert will also be presented to area preschools on February 18th as a part of a pilot Pre-K enrichment program and also to Lawrence area school groups on Thursday, February 19th at 1pm. The Thursday performance is offered to school groups at a discount rate.
