Watson Park hosts a free Fourth of July concert starting at 4 p.m. and leading up to the fireworks. The Crumpletons lead things off with their '60s and '70s-tinged melodies (including covers of The Beatles, Neil Young, Jefferson Airplane, and many more). Truckstop Honeymoon takes the middle slot with their family-friendly brand of French Quarter street music, and Billy Ebeling brings it all home with his bluesy originals.
Food, beer, and wine vendors will be on hand from the Lawrence Originals group. The festival is in proximity to the Tour of Lawrence bike races (just West of the Criterium Course) and makes an ideal location for viewing this year's Downtown Fireworks Show.
4 p.m. The Crumpletons
6 p.m. Truckstop Honeymoon
