This year's fireworks display marks a return to the downtown area after last year's diversion to Clinton Lake. The launch site will be closer to the downtown Kansas River bridges, allowing spectators gathered at Watson Park for the Lawrence Originals Food and Music Festival to see the fireworks. The view from the traditional downtown location of Burcham Park will be limited.
