While there's reason to be concerned about a bluegrass band from Los Angeles, Rose's Pawn Shop puts those worries to rest with an eclectic acoustic sound that should tickle fans of Old Crow Medicine Show and the Hackensaw Boys. With drums and upright bass driving the beat, the group employs fiddle, banjo, mandolin, and pedal steel to play smartly written songs that are as pub-friendly as The Pogues or Flogging Molly (but less Irish).
